Getting started

6 questions
What is Reflectra?

Reflectra uses daily reflections to capture better information while experiences are fresh and across different days. We organize that information so one of our licensed clinicians can complete a fuller assessment and provide better care.

After a short intake, we match you with a licensed professional counselor in Texas, so you do not need to find one. You start with a free 7-day trial.

What does counselor-guided self-help look like?

You reflect by text or voice. Each reflection gets a response that reflects back what you wrote. After your first three reflection days, responses can also explain a technique your counselor has chosen for you. Each week your counselor reviews your week and records a short personal video for you. It is not weekly therapy, and live sessions are an add-on.

Who can use Reflectra?

Texas residents. Our counselors are licensed professional counselors licensed in Texas, so the free trial and the plan are available only to people in Texas.

When will I be matched with a counselor?

Before your first reflection. You first answer a few safety questions, then a short multiple-choice intake. Your counselor is matched from your intake, and we tell you in a line or two why this counselor. They send you a written hello on day 1.

If your safety answers show you need more urgent support, we stop enrollment, point you to care options, and charge nothing.

Is there a set course to follow?

No. There is no preset course. Your counselor chooses ACT techniques for you, one at a time, using what you share and their professional judgment. ACT stands for Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. It teaches ways to relate differently to hard thoughts and feelings and to take steps toward what matters. The techniques you receive are kept in your personal toolkit.

Who is behind Reflectra?

Reflectra was founded by a therapist, with a perspective shaped by clinical work rather than Silicon Valley. Independently built without outside backing, it was created with the freedom to put meaningful benefits for the people using it first.

That purpose shapes the experience: a real relationship with your counselor, evidence-based guidance adapted to your needs, and technology that supports the people providing your care.

Your free trial

5 questions
How does the free trial work?

The trial lasts 7 days. After your intake, you reflect on three different days. After your third reflection day, your counselor reviews your intake and reflections, records a voice note greeting you by first name, and approves your first technique. Then you build a coping plan, and your counselor reviews it.

When will I be charged?

On day 8, unless you cancel first. A card is required to start. Before you enter it, you see the price ($129 a month), the date of the first charge, and how to cancel. We send you a reminder 2 days before the first charge.

How do I cancel?

Cancelling takes one tap. Cancel any time before the first charge and nothing is charged. After that, cancelling the monthly plan takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for.

Do my three reflection days have to be consecutive?

No. They need to be three different local calendar days. More than one entry on the same date counts as one reflection day, and your intake answers do not count. If you have not reflected by day 3, we send a reminder.

Will I receive techniques during the first three days?

No. During your first three reflection days, each response only reflects back what you wrote. Your first technique comes after your counselor reviews your intake and reflections. Safety support does not wait for that review.

Your care & support

8 questions
How does Reflectra use AI?

AI helps write your reflection responses and the explanations of techniques your counselor has chosen. We tell you this in writing before your first reflection, and AI-written sections carry a label. AI also helps organize your reflections and prepare notes for your counselor.

AI never diagnoses you, never picks or assigns a technique, and never makes a care decision. Your voice note and weekly videos are recorded by your counselor.

Who chooses my techniques?

Your assigned counselor. Before a technique reaches you for the first time, they review the technique, its fit for you, and the explanation you will receive. Techniques during the trial are low-intensity. Techniques you have received before are still checked for current safety and fit.

How are techniques explained?

Each explanation gives a plain definition, a simple metaphor, and one fictional example of how other people use the technique. It does not tell you how to apply the technique to your own life or what to do. Questions about your own situation are for your counselor: send them, and your weekly video can answer them.

What if an explanation doesn’t make sense to me?

Choose “Explain another way” to see a plain-language explanation of the same technique. This does not need another approval from your counselor. Asking for a different technique is separate: a new technique needs your counselor’s approval.

Where can I find my techniques?

In your personal toolkit. It holds only techniques your counselor has chosen and delivered to you through your reflections or messages. It is not an open catalog.

Will my counselor respond every day?

No. The plan includes a personal video from your counselor every week and a 10-minute live check-in in week 5, then every quarter. Messaging is a $39 a month add-on with up to 2 personal voice replies a week. Reflectra is not monitored around the clock and is not an emergency service.

When will I receive a reflection response?

Next-morning delivery is the default. You can also choose “Read the reflection now instead” for early access when the response is ready. Both options follow the same safety checks.

How do you approach my privacy?

Your personal information is encrypted. Protecting what you share is central to the trust you place in Reflectra and your counselor. Privacy and security are core commitments throughout your care, including when technology is used to support your counselor.
